To start off this blog, I want to outline the reason why I've chosen "rangagirl" as my domain name!
A “ranga” is a term that often refers to red-headed people in australian slang. A friend wrote that into a birthday card when I was abroad studying in Gold Coast.
The word originated from an abbreviation of orang-utan, primates native to the rainforests of Indonesia and Malaysia known for their reddish-brown hair.
So that's basically the idea behind the name :-)
